My digital media production experience mostly consists of what I have created in the courses of this master's program. I don't have any questions about this course yet. I am probably the most worried about being creative in this course and keeping up with all the ins and outs of digital media production. I have started branching out, trying more digital creations to accompany lessons for my students. Last semester, I had my students research an author of their choice and create a digital poster to present their research. They had a lot of fun using the programs (S'more, Canva, and Piktochart) and seeing their classmates creations.
The thing I am most proud of is the video I created last semester using Powtoon about ACE writing format. There are some things I would change if I did it again, but overall I am pleased with the result. I have something my students can refer back to when they are having trouble with the ACE format. I completed my undergrad with a BA in psychology from OSU in 1999. I got my alternative certification in 2009 and began teaching high school English in Tulsa Public Schools in 2010. I have been teaching middle school English language arts at Clyde Boyd Middle School in Sand Springs since 2012. I am halfway through the Educational Technology and Library Media Master's program. I love being in the classroom, but I look forward to becoming a middle school librarian in the future.

My husband, Jason, and I just celebrated 19 years of marriage in December. He also graduated from OSU in 1994 with a BS in engineering. We have four children: three girls, and a boy ages 22-16. Our youngest is our foster daughter, but she's lived with us for the past year. We are in the very early stages of adopting her. We have two dogs, Dixie and Jake, a bunny, a bird, and our two youngest daughters show pigs with Sand Springs FFA. Besides staying busy with our family, I also like to read, binge-watch Netflix, genealogy, shop, and I am hoping to learn to crochet very soon!
